Poondi Pudhumai Madha College of Education

The Diocese of Kumbakonam built the "Poondi Pudhumai Madha College of Education" in Vengankudi, Samayapuram, Trichy district, in March 2012. The institution takes its name from "Our Lady of Poondi Madha," and its motto is "Learn to Serve." Our college seeks to fulfil this vision with a solid belief in the importance of developing qualified teachers who can contribute to the advancement of the nation. We strive to provide a well-rounded education that includes intellectual, emotional, social, physical, moral, and spiritual growth, allowing our students to realize their full potential and boost their self-esteem. At Poondi Pudhumai Madha College of Education, our fundamental goal is to shape and sensitize our students to become teachers who strive for excellence. We recognize the critical role of teachers in moulding the future, so we focus on fostering self-confidence in our students so that they can become effective and influential educators. We provide training in ICT-based teaching approaches as part of our commitment to staying current with the growing educational landscape, giving our instructors the technology skills needed to provide engaging and unique learning experiences. Aside from academic success, we place a high focus on instilling basic values such as worldwide brotherhood, educational equality, social justice, and service to the poor.
