Established in 1980, Government Polytechnic, Nashik, stands as a prominent institution in Maharashtra, India. Initially, in 1980, the institute introduced a diploma program in Civil Engineering with an intake capacity of 60 students. Over the years, it has expanded its offerings and currently conducts 10 regular diploma programs in both conventional and diversified areas. These programs are offered in two shifts, accommodating a total intake of 780+66 students under the Fee Waiver Scheme. Recognizing the importance of skill development for working professionals, the institute also conducts Staff Development Programs and Continuing Education Programs. Notably, the Government of Maharashtra awarded academic autonomy to Government Polytechnic, Nashik, starting from the academic year 1995-96. This esteemed recognition has empowered the institute to tailor its engineering and technology diploma, post-diploma, and certificate programs to meet the evolving needs of the local industry, businesses, and the community at large.
