Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University (BBMKU), located in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, is a relatively new but rapidly growing institution that has made significant strides in the field of higher education since its establishment in 2017. The university was brought into existence through a notification issued by the Jharkhand Government on March 23, 2017, and subsequently published as Gazettes notification No. 216 (Extra Ordinary) on April 11, 2017. The university's foundation stone was ceremoniously laid on November 13, 2017, by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand at the time, Raghubar Das.
