Berhampur University, founded on January 2, 1967, stands as a beacon of higher education in the state of Odisha, India. Nestled in the serene expanse known as Bhanja Vihar, the university's name pays tribute to one of Odisha's literary luminaries, Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanja. The sprawling campus, spanning approximately 250 acres, is strategically situated just 12 kilometers from the bustling city of Berhampur and a mere six kilometers from the pristine shores of Gopalpur Beach, offering an ideal setting for academic pursuit. In October 2021, Berhampur University achieved a significant milestone by merging with Khallikote University.
