Registration Process and Important Dates

The online registration process for UGC NET June 2024 has been initiated by the NTA. Following this, the online examination fee can be submitted from May 11 to May 12, 2024. Exam Schedule and Details

According to the official announcement, the UGC NET June 2024 examination is scheduled to take place on June 16, 2024. The NTA will administer this test for determining eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professorship, and admission to PhD programs in 83 subjects. The exam will be conducted in the OMR (Pen & Paper) mode and will consist of two papers, both comprising objective-type multiple-choice questions. There will be no breaks between the papers.

Eligibility Criteria and Mode of Examination

UGC chief Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar emphasized the eligibility criteria for UGC NET June 2024. Candidates pursuing a Four-Year/8 Semester Bachelor’s Degree Program, including those in their final semester/year, are eligible to apply. Additionally, candidates with a Four-Year Bachelor’s Degree Program can appear in any subject of their choice for pursuing a PhD, regardless of their undergraduate discipline.

The UGC NET June 2024 exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode with multishifts. Both papers will comprise objective-type multiple-choice questions, totaling 150 questions to be completed within a three-hour duration.
