The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) rank list for 2024 was made public today, July 10, by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), located in Chennai. The rank list is currently available for download on the official website, tneaonline.org, for those who have applied.
A grievance redressal period will be extended to candidates from July 11 to July 20 in order to resolve any issues or complaints they may have with the rank list.
The marks applicants received in the required topics of the qualifying exam are reduced to the base of 200 (Mathematics – 100 and Physics + Chemistry – 100) in order to create the TNEA rank list.
A distinct TNEA rank list broken down by categories will be made public by the authorities. Candidates will be able to proceed with the counseling procedure if their names are listed on the merit list.

Step 3: Complete the necessary information
Step 4: A screen presentation of your rank list will occur.
Step 5: Save it to your computer for later use.
Based on the rank list, a shortlist of candidates will be selected to take part in the counseling process. The counseling procedure will be carried out via the Internet. The candidates must choose the universities and courses that best suit their preferences during the counseling process.
Following the release of the rank list, the final seat allocation will also be completed. Those who are chosen must report to the designated institutions to pay their admissions costs.
Three rounds of online counseling will be held, with candidates participating in the rounds that correspond to their rank. There will be 4 stages in each round:
a) Selective filling
b) Distribution
d) Verification of allocation
d) Attending the college and paying the costs after receiving confirmation
The first round of counseling will be done online for the special reservation groups, which include wards of ex-servicemen, distinguished athletes, and those with disabilities.
Simultaneous online general counseling, vocational counseling, and 7.5 percent of seats reserved for students who attended state government schools from grades 6 through 12 will be offered.
