Justices Vikram Nath and Ahsanuddin Amanullah, sitting on the vacation bench, stated, "These petitions are rendered infructuous due to the passage of time," as they rejected the plea filed by Pritish Kumar and others in 2022.

Kumar's counsel argued that the plea remained relevant since two of the six petitioners were scheduled to take the NEET PG on June 23 this year.

NEET PG is administered by the NBE for admission to various postgraduate courses following completion of MBBS, BDS, and equivalent programs.

The petitioners' lawyer pointed out that they could not access the answer keys, answer sheets, and question papers for NEET-PG 2022 due to the NBE's refusal. However, the bench declined to keep the plea pending "unnecessarily."

Pritish Kumar and others had filed the plea alleging discrepancies in their NEET-PG 2022 scores and claimed that the NBE was not allowing re-evaluation.

Meanwhile, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is set to release the NEET PG Admit Card 2024 on June 18, and candidates can download the admit card from the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in. NEET PG 2024 will be conducted on June 23, 2024.
