Recruitment for 44,228 positions with India Post GDS 2024 is open to Class 10 graduates

To fill a total of 44,228 posts, the Department of Post (India Post) is accepting applications from applicants who have finished their Class 10 education. August 5 is the deadline for registration.

A hiring campaign has been issued by the Ministry of Communications' Department of Posts for the positions of Assistant Branch Post Masters (ABPM), Branch Post Masters (BPM), and Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS). Applications for 44,228 slots are being accepted from 10th-pass students. August 5 is when the registration window closes. Candidates who are interested can apply at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, the official website.

The recruiting campaign is to fill positions for Gramin Dak Sevak in 23 circles around the country. State-by-state recruiting is carried out, with different numbers of positions allotted to each state. For instance, the number of postings in the following states is 2,718 in Rajasthan, 2,558 in Bihar, 4,588 in Uttar Pradesh, 4,011 in Madhya Pradesh, and 1,338 in Chhattisgarh.

The Gramin Dak Sevak post pays between Rs 10,000 and Rs 29,380 per month.

 

Qualifications and Age Restrictions

Applicants may apply if they have completed Class 10 from an accredited board of schooling. It's necessary to be proficient with computers and cycling. As of August 5, 2024, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 32. Government regulations exclude candidates in the reserved category from the upper age limit.

 

The selection procedure

The candidates will be chosen based on their Class 10 grades. We'll produce this merit list either circle-wise or state-wise. Candidates will thereafter get calls for document verification.

 

Application procedure

Step 1: Go to the official website: Go to https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in/ to access the India Post GDS recruiting portal.

Step 2: Register: After clicking the registration link, fill out the form with the necessary information, such as your name, email address, date of birth, and mobile number. Following submission, an email and SMS will be sent to you with a special registration number and password.

Step 3: Fill out the application online: Enter your password and registration number to log in. Provide your personal information, educational history, and any other pertinent details on the application form.

Step 4: Upload the necessary files: Provide scanned copies of any required paperwork, including your grade-school transcript, a current passport-sized photo of yourself, your signature, and any further certifications that are required.

Step 5: Cover the application cost: Use one of the several online payment options, such as credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI, to pay the Rs. 100 application cost.

Step 6: Send in the application: Verify the accuracy of the filled-out application form. For your records, download and print the confirmation sheet.
