President Droupadi Murmu on September 3,2024 highlighted the need to encourage research in the field of education system. Mentioning that research scholars in the nation are capable of finding solutions not only at a national level but also international level  . In addition she also mentioned that the latest, National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has been carefully curated to provide an essential impeus to research.  
She talked about it at a convocation ceremony of Symbiosis International, a deemed University. It was the 21st convocation ceremony of the institution where the president honoured the even with her presence.

While addressing the audience she said "I am confident that the young generation is working hard towards the development of the country. The people of this country possess immense talent and skills. I urge you to understand the needs of society and use your knowledge to develop solutions that benefit the masses, especially the marginalized, and promote sustainability," 

Moreover she also laid emphasis on the role of government schemes for instance, Start-up India, Skill India and stand up India. All these schemes aim to help the younger generation to achieve their goals. She said  "I would like to tell everyone here that research should be encouraged in the education system. Research scholars from India are capable of finding solutions not only to domestic problems but also to global challenges. The National Education Policy has given research a strong impetus," she added.
