On July 14, IIT-Guwahati will hold its 26th convocation, awarding almost 2,000 degrees

At IIT Guwahati, more than 22,600 students have received degrees over the previous 25 years.

On July 14, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will celebrate its 26th convocation. The graduating class of the institute will get 2,145 degrees, comprising 932 degrees from undergraduate programs, 938 degrees from postgraduate programs, and 275 degrees from PhD programs. This year, 468 female students will graduate in total.

First batches of degrees will be awarded this year from a variety of programs, including the Joint PhD program in food science and technology with Gifu University, the MBA, MA in liberal arts, the MDes in electronic product design, the MTech in bioengineering, the MTech in biomedical science and engineering, the MS(R) in polymer science and technology, and the Initial PhD student in the MBA program.

According to an IIT-G release, 63 students have graduated since the university's founding convocation in 1999, and IIT Guwahati has accomplished outstanding feats.

At IIT Guwahati, more than 22,600 students have received degrees over the previous 25 years.

The 26th Convocation ceremony will feature the presentation of four gold medals in total, including the Governor of Assam gold medals for both undergraduate and postgraduate categories, the President's gold medal, and the Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma gold medal. In addition, the best students in each subject of the BTech, BDes, MA, MSc, and MBA programs will receive sixteen silver medals. Additionally, there will be rewards for the top 14 master's and PhD theses.
