NEET UG re-exam? Allegations of paper leak prompt group to file a plea in the Supreme Court

The news reports came about the leaking of the question paper, there were a group of candidates who moved to the Supreme Court to seek for NEET UG 2024 examination, which was held on May 5, 2024.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) Examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for the admissions to the following courses:

- MBBS 

- BDS

- AYUSH

And other related courses in government and other private institutions across the country. The results are expected to be declared on June 14, 2024.

The request was filed by Shivangi Mishra and other people and it has made the National Testing Agency (NTA) a form of a party and have raised the issue of the paper leak and the devotion of the test while seeking a direction for conducting a fresh examination.

The claimed paper leak of NEET was violative of Article 14 (right to equality) under the Constitution as it gave too much advantage to some candidates over others who chose to attempt the examination in a fair manner. The plea, which was filed on June 1 through lawyer Usha Nandini V, may be listed before this week

The petitioners claimed to have all the information of multiple instances of paper leaks, which clearly showed that the May 5 NEET-UG test was common with the malpractices.
