According to a letter released on July 29, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has stated that counselling for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 would begin on August 14. The National Medical Commission (NMC) Secretary, Dr. B Srinivas, announced that the registration process for counselling is anticipated to begin the first week of August.
It is recommended that candidates frequently visit the MCC website for the most recent information on the counselling process.
"The counselling will allocate approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats in around 710 medical colleges nationwide. Additionally, 21,000 BDS seats, as well as Ayush and nursing seats, will be included in the counselling," Dr Srinivas mentioned.
In addition to managing 100 percent of the seats at all AIIMS, JIPMER Pondicherry, central institutions, and deemed universities, the MCC would also be in charge of counselling for 15 percent of the all-India quota seats.
On July 26, the National Testing Agency released the NEET-UG final results. This came after the Supreme Court rejected many petitions that claimed anomalies in the way the exam was administered.
