Following the declaration of NET PG cities on July 31, the NBEMS issued another set of revised city slips on August 4, 2024. However, students felt that allotted city centres allotted were not in feasible locations, which would require a significant of time to commute.

“After students raised their displeasure with exam city allotment, we decided to add more exam centres, and thus some students may have received revised city slips. This time, we have chosen out some private exam centres to ensure safety, and as a result of this, some students may have to travel a bit far for their exam centres. Not every student has a venue very close by, because even if we allot them a centre in the same state, students may have to travel farther. We have tried our best to shorten their distance,” NBE Chief Abhijat Sheth told media.

With the admit card release date approaching sooner, students are demanding revised city centre dates for the examination. However, some students have been assigned centres based on their location, and others have been allotted one of their preferred cities, which they marked during the application form process. An aspirant who had filled 4 city choices was first allotted Gwalior as their first preference. However, on July 31 they received email for revision of dates, by then he had already booked tickets for Gwalior.

Another aspirant who didn’t specify any preferred choice was initially allotted a city in Andhra Pradesh, but later reassigned to Kerala, his correspondence address. Meanwhile, students are arguing on social media about conducting NEET PG in two shifts.
