The National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the national common entrance test (NCET) 2024 due to technical difficulties whereas the exam was scheduled earlier on June 12, 2024 but due to some technical error exam was not conducted. According to the official schedule, the NCET 2024 would be held on June 12. However, it was unable to be carried out at a few centers across India and has so been postponed.
The new date for the NCET 2024 will be announced shortly. "Due to technical problems, the examination, which had begun at some centers, could not be started at all test centers. The NTA apologized for any disruption caused by the exam, which was scheduled to take place from 2 to 5 p.m. The National Common Entrance Test has 66 subjects, including 38 languages, 26 domain courses, one general test, and one teaching aptitude test. Candidates were required to take seven subjects in total: three domains, two languages, one teaching aptitude test, and one general test.
The NCET 2024 is a three-hour, 180-minute computer-based test. Each correct answer receives one mark. While wrong responses do not result in a lower grade or negative marking.
The total of 40,233 students have signed up for the NCET 2024. According to biometric registration data, around 29,000 students took the exam at 292 centers spread over 160 cities in the country, according to the exam's governing organization.
