The Ministry of Education has declared the extension of the deadline for the National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the academic session 2024-25. Students shall apply for this scheme through National Scholarship Portal (NSP) UNTIL September 30, 2025 as mentioned in the official notice.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for these scholarships, candidates must have their eighth-grade pass certificate with the minimum score. The selected candidates who receive the scholarships shall be based on merit only. The merit list will be released by the concerned authority. The minimum percentage for the students to achieve in class 8 must be 55 percent and for SC/ST students this percentage is revised to 50 percent. Further the family total annual income shall not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh.

As per the official notice stated “It is hereby notified that the last date for uploading the application of fresh i.e., selected candidates of National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) beneficiaries for the year 2024-2025 and renewals in National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is extended up to 30.09.2024. The Head of the institutions concerned are requested to inform the students concerned and complete the registrations within schedule time.”
