The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is set to release the seat allocation results for round 1 today, June 20. Candidates can check their seat allotment status by visiting the official JoSAA website at josaa.nic.in.
Post-announcement, those allotted seats in round 1 must complete the online reporting process by June 25, 5 PM. This involves paying the counselling fee and uploading the necessary documents.
When accepting the seat online, candidates must choose one of three options: freeze, float, or slide, for their academic program preferences in subsequent rounds. If a candidate is allocated a seat as per their first choice, only the freeze option will be available. Failure to select freeze in this scenario will be treated as a rejection of the offered seat, and the candidate will not be considered for further rounds of allocation.
There are three more rounds of seat allocation to follow. The results for round 2 will be declared on June 27, while rounds 3, 4, and 5 results will be announced on July 4, July 10, and July 17, respectively.
According to JoSAA's rules, if a candidate's credentials change due to issues such as invalid certificates or incorrect category/state information, leading to seat cancellation, they will be reconsidered for subsequent rounds based on the updated credentials. Such candidates must report online again to accept the newly allocated seat, if any.
