The Cabinet of Jharkhand has approved a series of educational initiatives. It totals up to Rs 530 crore. The aim is to establish a new engineering college and polytechnics in the state. The significant projects include, construction of government Polytechnic in Chakulia , Jamshedpur ,around Rs 134.18 crore ; the Government Engineering College in Jamshedpur, at Rs 134.18 crore; the Government Engineering College in Jamshedpur with a budget of Rs 254.93 crore; and another government polytechnic in Potka, Jamshedpur at Rs 136.13 crore.
Moreover, to the projects , the cabinet also sanctioned Rs 42.83 crore for the second phase of the Netarhat Tourism Project and plans to built institute similar to the Netarhat Residential School in Kolhan, Santhal Pargana and North Chotanagpur divisions.
In addition , around Rs 20 crore has been allotted for the first three years of the Jharkhand State Instiutional Ranking Framework (JIRF). And Rs 39.21 crore is allocated for another degree college in Thakurgangti , Godda district.
And the cabinet also approved the changes to the Anganwadi Centre Buildng Construction Scheme guidelines. And 50 crore for setting up integrated science and mathematics laboratories in elementary schools. The decisions included a Rs 38.20 crore budget for a college located in Baharagora , a woman’s college, and along with ,updates to the Guruji Students’ Credit Card scheme. Overall, 29 decisions were made during the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The Jharkhand government has implemented various initiatives to enhance education in the state. These initiatives include financial assistance schemes like Mukhyamantri Kanya Utkarsh Yojana and Mukhyamantri Uchch Shiksha Protsahan Yojana, open schooling opportunities through Jharkhand State Open School (JSOS), residential schools like Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, and comprehensive education schemes like Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.And now allocation for more colleges. It has approved the budget for Rs 530 crore.
