JEE 2024 Counseling Schedule for Tomorrow
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), established by the Union Minister of Education, will begin operations tomorrow. Students who have appeared and qualified for JEE Main and JEE Advanced can register on the official website josaa.nic.in.
The Central Seat distribution Board (CASAB) and Joint Boards for IIT (JAB-IIT) form the JoSAA, which is responsible for counseling and seat distribution at various colleges across India. Candidates can look for further updates on the official website josaa.nic.in.
Along with JEE Advanced, IIT Madras will disclose their topper list, along with their marks and cutoffs in several categories of courses accessible for the students to choose from. During JoSAA registration, aspirants must fill their profile by declaring their interest in a specific course and selected colleges across India. It depends on the candidates' preferences and the availability of seats in individual colleges.
JoSAA 2024 Criteria
- In order to be eligible for the next phase of seat allocation, candidates must have passed JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2024.
- Candidates must achieve a minimum of 75 percent in class 12 or rank in the top 20 percent. For SC/ST and PWD, the qualification percentage is 65 to get admission to IITs.
How To Register JoSAA 2024
Step 1: Visit the official website josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: Search for the link named JoSAA 2024 Counseling and then click on the link.
Step 3: On the new window, candidates need to enter their JEE Mains and JEE Advanced 2024 application number and password, and click on the button to submit.
Step 4: After submission of the details, a new window will be displayed, and candidates must cross-check once and then change the password.
Step 5 : During the JoSAA Counseling Session, students are only allowed to change their contact number. The students should provide a working contact number and email address that would be easily accessible.
Step 6 : Candidates can check the availability of engineering colleges and choose the courses.
Step 7: Candidates should lock the preference of courses online; otherwise, if they fail to do so, then the previous preferences would be displayed.
