IIT Jammu Scholarships

Indian Institute of Technology Jammu offers various scholarships to students based on merit and financial challenges.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , Jammu is offering various scholarship to B.Tech students.
Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship:
It is available for students up to 25% in each branch , General, EWS and OBC-NCL categories.
The benefit is, students will receive full tuition fee waiver and along with that a monthly stipend of Rs 1,000 during active academic months, which will be disbursed at the beginning of each semester.
The eligibility is, the new admissions (Autumn Semester) will be evaluated based on their JEE Advanced rank. For existing students, the student must maintain a CPI of at least 6.0 with a maximum of two backlogs only. The family income should not exceed Rs 4,50,000 per year.
The students must note that, students receiving this scholarship cannot apply for any other scholarship unless it is approved under exceptional circumstances.

Free Messing:
Another scholarship is Free messing. It is exclusively for students from SC and ST category.
They'll receive fee waiver, free basic meal services and a monthly pocket allowance as well.
It will but RS 250 during academic months. The gross family income should be under Rs 4.5 lakh annually. The students must maintain a minimum CPI of 6.0 and not more than two backlogs. There is no capacity on the number of students eligible for this benefit.

Free ship
Or Fee remission, this scholarship is open to economically Weaker General, OBC-NCL and EWS students who do not qualify for other scholarship. The benefit of the scholarship is, it is available to 10% of eligible students in each branch. Students will get remission from partially to full tuition fee. The family income of student must fall between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 4.5 lakh per year. For eligibility, the it is same as other scholarships.
Students benefiting from this scholarship are barred from applying for other scholarships unless granted special permission.

These scholarships aim to provide financial relief to students from underprivileged backgrounds while ensuring academic merit is sustained. It is beneficial and helpful to them.
