IIT JAM important dates and eligiblity

The Join Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2025 exam is scheduled to take place on February 2, 2025 and the results shall be released on March 19, 2025. The registrations for JAM 2025 have begun from September 3 and the final date to register for the test is October 11, 2024. Aspiring students who wish to take admission for various master’s programmes for the 2025-26 academic session, candidates can apply through JAM application portal at Jam2025.iitd.ac.in The exam shall be conducted in over 100 cities nationwide.

Steps to apply for JAM 2025 registration

Step 1: Visit the official website of JAM, as per the respective IIT (For IIT Delhi, the website is Jam2025.iitd.ac.in)

Step 2: Register yourself, by providing the necessary details for creating an account

Step 3: Log in the account and complete the application form

Step 4: Upload the important documents and pay the application fee

Step 5: Review and submit the form

Step 6: Download the form for future reference

The last day to make modify city preferences, test papers, category or gender information is November 18, 2024.Additionally, candidates must upload a valid OBC—NCL/EWS certificate by November 20, 2024, to ensure the application is complete. The deadline for candidates to confirm their need for compensatory time or scribe assistance is December 30, 2024. The exam will be organised in a Computer Based Test comprising seven subjects: Chemistry, Economics, Geology, physics, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Biotechnology.

To be eligibility for JAM 2025, applicants must have completed the undergraduate degree or are in their final year of study and there are no age limit restrictions. Further, for foreign nationals holding an Indian degree can apply as per the policies of the respective institute. Applicants who qualify for the JAM 2025 merit list have access to around 3,000 postgraduate seats at IITs and over 2,000 seats at IISc, NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET and DIAT through CCMN.
