IIM-Kozhikode to host 'Coop Pitch 2024' for youth entrepreneurship

Indian Institutes of Management Kozhikode is all set to host Coop Pitch -2024, a cooperative entrepreneurship competition from October 16 to October 18, 2024. It will be organized by ICA Domus Trust (IDT) and Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS) Limited. The event is part of ULCCS' centenary celebrations.

The competition will be organized on the campus itself. The 3-day event will host over 10-plus workshops and sessions. More than 50 teams will be participating and around 20 mentors will be present. 

The competition will focus on the following themes

•  Agri-tech and safe food
•  Care Economy 
• Social sector, platform cooperatives
• Sustainability and green economy,
• Education Policy and Skills

The following are the eligibility criteria:

• The team must present a fresh and innovative idea 
• The team must consist of  2-5 members with diverse skills set
• The project must incorporate cooperative principles and emphasize collectivization. 

Participants will get to engage in activities guided by the cooperative experts.

The winners of the competition will also receive a cash prize and further guidance. The first position holder will be awarded Rs 50,000, second Rs 30,000, and third Rs 20,000. The prizes total up to a lakh.

In addition to the cash price, the participants will also benefit from a year-long mentorship program to help develop their cooperative enterprises.IIM Kozhikode will host the Coop-Pitch 2024 program from October 16 to October 18, 2024.
