IGNOU extended the deadline for the application submission till September 20

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced an extension of the application submission deadline for most programmes (except certificate and semester-based courses) until September 20, 2024.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) announced an extension of the application submission deadline for most programmes (except certificate and semester-based courses) until September 20, 2024. Qualified students can apply online through the official website of IGNOU at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in  However, candidates interested in online courses shall visit the other official website at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in

IGNOU has extended the last date for fresh admissions till 20 September which was previously scheduled for September 10, 2024 with a late fee of 200. This is the second time IGNOU has extended its deadline for all the programmes offered in ODL/Online mode for July 2024 session (except for semester based and certificate courses).

 

How to register for the IGNOU admissions

Step 1: Visit the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in  

Step 2: Open the registration link visible on the homepage

Step 3: Fill in your necessary details to register yourself

Step 4: Complete the application form by uploading all the essential documents and pay the fee

Step 5: Review and verify all the details before submitting the form

Step 6: Save and take a print out of the form for future reference

For fresh admissions, students can apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate courses through the designated ODL and online portals. Meanwhile, the existing students can re-register for the upcoming semester or academic year and can access the designated portal to complete the process.


Candidates, please note that the required size for the photograph and signature should be under 100 KB. Further, the necessary documents to be uploaded must be less than 200 KB. IGNOU also highlighted that the scanned copies must be of the original file. Qualified candidates can apply for Government of India scholarship at scholarships.gov.in after confirmation of admission.  

Students can apply for admissions through the designated ODL and online portals, while students can re-register for the upcoming semester with the designated portal. Please ensure that you upload documents, signatures and photographs in the correct sizes as specified.
