The ICFAI Law School, is a constituent part of the ICFAI Foundation for higher education, Hyderabad. The institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two US Law Schools Namely, William and Mary Law School and Widener University-Delaware Law School. The collaboration was decided during the International Academic Leaders Meet, which was organized on September 4,2024 at the IFCAI Campus, Hyderabad.
The collaboration aims to discover the mutual benefits, for academic and research activities. It can include Students exchange and Faculty exchange and even Joint Research collaboration.
The MoU was signed by Prof Eileen Greena, Assistant Dean of Widener University-Delaware Law School and Prof Catherine E Stahl, Director, LLM Programmes, William and Mary Law School.
Leaders from various universities were part of the event, including Law Schools like Texan A&M School of Law, William & Mary Law School, Widener University- Delaware Law School, Tilburg Law School, SOAS London and Georgetown law, University of New Hampshire -Franklin Pierce School of Law, The guests had an interactive session with the students and were overwhelmed with their knowledge and curiosity to learn new things.
Dr K Hariharan, Associate Professor welcomed the guests and gave an overview about the ambitious plans of ICFAI Law School to be a globally renowned institution. While speaking to the participants, Professor L S Ganesh, Vice Chancellor, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education highlighted the need for synergy between global and Indian Higher Educational Institutions, specially in the era of waning geo physical boundaries, with the advent of technology.
Dr P Ravisekhararaju, Director of the ICFAI Law School mentioned that the collaboration with the reputed US Law Schools is a step towards internationalisation of Legal Education, thereby opening up plenty of opportunities for all the academic stakeholders, which eventually will benefit the students’ community.
The ICFAI Law School is renowned in India, and established by the ICFAI Foundation. It offers various law programs, including a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), a Master of Laws (LLM), and specialized programs in corporate law, taxation, and intellectual property law.
