GATE 2025: Registration process ends tomorrow with a late fee

The application forms and late fee for candidates who have not yet applied for the exam can be turned in at gate2025.iitr.ac.in until 11:59 p.m. on October 7.

GATE 2025, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, will finish its online application process tomorrow. The application forms and late fee for candidates who have not yet applied for the exam can be turned in at gate2025.iitr.ac.in until 11:59 p.m. on October 7. October 3, was the last day to apply for GATE 2025 regularly.

₹1,400 is the application fee for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates during the extended window. The cost for everyone else is ₹2,300. For candidates who were female, SC, ST, or PwD, the application fee during the normal window was ₹900, whereas it was ₹1,800 for everyone else.

A candidate may submit one application for up to two exam papers. On February 1, 2, 15, and 16, there will be an aptitude test. There will be two shifts for the exam per day. Subsequently, the paper-wise timetable and admit cards will be made available.

Applying for GATE 2025 requires at least a degree in one of the following fields: engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities. Applications are also open to those enrolled in undergraduate programs at any point up to the third year. Professional certifications that are comparable to degrees in BE, BTech, BArch, or BPlanning and have been approved by the MoE, AICTE, UGC, or UPSC are also acceptable.

GATE 2025 registration: Documents required

A crisp photo of the candidate that complies with the guidelines outlined in the information bulletin.
A high-quality photo of the candidate's signature, as specified in the news release.
Scanned copy of the certificate in PDF format, if it applies to the SC/ST categories.
If applicable, a scanned PDF copy of the PwD certificate.
Scanned copy of the dyslexia certificate, if any, in PDF format.
Scanned copy of a legitimate photo ID document, such as a passport, voter ID, voter ID, Aadhar UID (preferable), or driver's license.
