The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will accept students who have failed Class 9 twice, under a directive from the Directorate of Education (DoE), beginning with the 2024-25 school year. Data from the DoE's Computer Cell indicates that 17,308 students in Class 9 were deemed unsuccessful for the second time in the 2023-24 academic year.
