During a meeting with Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, a student delegation, headed by DUSU Secretary Aparajita, submitted a memorandum outlining various campus-related demands. Notably, the memorandum underscored the pressing requirement for clean and chilled drinking water, particularly in key areas such as the Faculty of Arts, Central Library, and North Campus hostels.
Responding to the dire situation exacerbated by the heat wave in the national capital, Singh directed the installation of water coolers and reassured the student delegation of the university's swift action to enhance campus amenities. The current water shortage in Delhi, exacerbated by the unprecedented summer temperatures soaring to nearly 50 degrees Celsius in certain areas, underscores the critical need for such measures.
