The Consortium of National Law Universities (CLAT) has officially announced the CLAT 2025 exam date on its website. Candidates intending to take the exam are urged to apply promptly on the official website to prevent any potential delays. The exam is scheduled for December 1, as per the notification. The Consortium is responsible for conducting the law exam for admission to five-year LLB and LLM courses at National Law Universities (NLUs). The exam is set to commence from 2 pm to 4 pm and will last for a duration of two hours. Oversight and administration of this examination are carried out by the Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium.

According to the notice, "The Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the Consortium of National Law Universities (the “Consortium”) at their Meetings held on April 26, 2024, decided that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 shall be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2 PM-4 PM. Further details regarding the syllabus, application, and counselling process shall be released shortly."

Last year, a record 97.03 percent of registered candidates for the CLAT 2024 undergraduate (UG) exam appeared for the test. Additionally, 93.92 percent of the CLAT postgraduate (PG) candidates took the exam, which was held on December 3, 2023.
