CBSE invites applications for central sector scheme of scholarships for college and university students

The Central Board of Education (CBSE) has invited applications for the central sector scholarship. The scholarship is for college and university students for the academic session 2024-2025. The last date to apply is October 31, 2024. The interested students can visit the related website. scholarships.gov.in/

The notification released by the CBSE stated that “All the candidates are advised to apply online within the stipulated time and get their online applications verified by the institutions (if required show the original documents to the institute) else the application would be treated as invalid.”

How to apply for the scholarship?

Step 1: Visit the above-mentioned website

Step 2: The candidate must register themselves using time registration code, email and captcha code

Step 3: Using the OTR way, details of the student including photography and demographics will be fetched automatically. In case of any changes, students will have to update their Aadhaar card. 

Step 4: It is advised to fill authentic information only; any false information may lead to rejection of the application.

Step 5: Parents/Guardians/Students must fill their active mobile number and email ID.

All the further contact and communication from the authority will be done on the submitted mobile/e-mail only.

The Central Sector scheme of Scholarship scheme for college and university students is a centrally-funded merit-cum-means scholarship. It is initiated by the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The scheme aims to support 82,000 graduate and postgraduate students annually to meet their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
