The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is all set to release the datasheet for Board Class 10 and Class 12 for 2025. It is expected to begin on February 15, 2024.
The CBSE board exams will be organized in a pen-paper format. A separate date sheet will be issued for the practicals. In case of Class 12, the exams will be taken under the supervision of an external examiner. On the other hand, for class 10, it will be conducted in the presence of school teachers.
At the same time, CBSE has commenced with the registration process for class 10 and 12, for the students who are appearing in Boards 2025. The schools are expected to submit the List of Candidates (LOC) through pariksha portal. The last date to submit is October 4,2024.

Over some time back, CBSE mentioned about the uncertainty about conducting two rounds of board exam as recommended by the new Nation Curriculum Framework (NCF). The board is looking for various timeframes, which included January-February ,March-April and June.
Another solution that is being explored by the Central Board of Secondary Education is to establish a semester system with biannual exams. Currently, board exams for Classes 10 and 12 are held in February-March.
"The three possible options that have been discussed is conducting the exams in a semester system, with the first board exam in January-February and the second one in March-April or conducting the second set of board exams in June with the supplementary or improvement exams," an official was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.
