CAT 2024 admit cards to be released on November 5

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta will release the admit cards for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 on November 5, 2024. Candidates can download the admit cards via the official website at  iimcat.ac.in, once released.

Steps to download the CAT 2024 admit card, once released

Step 1: Go to the official website at iimcat.ac.in
Step 2: Locate the highlighted link of admit cards on the homepage 
Step 3: Enter your login credentials 
Step 4: Your admit card will be displayed on your screen 
Step 5: Save and take a print out of the admit card for future reference

The CAT 2024 is scheduled to be a computer-based exam that takes place over three sessions on November 24. Test sites will be located in over 170 cities for the exam. IIM Calcutta will distribute admission cards from November 5 to November 24. It is anticipated that the CAT 2024 results will be made public around the second week of January 2025. Similarly, to this year, IIM Lucknow had also extended the registration to September 20, 2023.

The CAT 2024 exam will comprise three sections, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Quantitative Ability (QA/Quants). The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and the paper is divided into two sections, with 40 minutes allowed for each section. Once a section is started, candidates will not be permitted to switch to another section until the allotted time has expired.

It is mandatory for candidates to bring their admit cards/ hall tickets to the examination centre, as absence to bring this will lead to prohibition of entry and forfeiture of the opportunity to take the exam.
