To supervise the arrangements for the PM's visit on June 19, representatives from the state government and the central university convened on Saturday.

The Prime Minister is expected to spend an hour and a half at the occasion, which is anticipated to be attended by dignitaries like Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Governor Rajendra Arlekar.

The PM will probably take a helicopter from the closest airport in Gaya to go to the location.

The institution was founded in 2010 by an Act of Parliament and is located less than 20 miles from the Nalanda Mahavira, which has been designated as a World Heritage site.

Previously, member nations had approved a plan to establish a worldwide university at the East Asia Summit, modeled after the academic institution that operated until the thirteenth century.

Before that, in his speech at a joint session of the Bihar assembly, the then-President APJ Abdul Kalam suggested reviving the historic institution.

The university provides multiple courses in Hindu Studies, Buddhist Studies, Comparative Religion, and Ecological and Environmental Studies on its expansive campus, which spans around 450 acres.
